The investiture weekend came to a close on the 6th November 2022 with a visit to Rabat, Malta, attended by the Lieutenant, Roberto Buontempo, Council members, foreign dignitaries and guests and the newly invested Knights and Dames.
A thanksgiving mass was celebrated by Rev. Can. Joe Mizzi, Archpriest, at St Publius church. After which the group visited St Paul’s Grotto and the Lieutenancy’s Ecclesiastical Seat, ta’ Doni Church. Finally a reception was held at the Wignacourt Museum with the kind support of Mr Neville Agius.
A marble plaque with an inscription of a prayer by Pope Francis, kindly donated by our Lieutenancy to mark the Pope’s visit to St Paul’s Grotto on the 3rd April 2022, was unveiled and blessed.
