Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Lieutenancy of Malta was held on Saturday 18th March 2023 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in St Julians. The meeting was presided by the Lieutenant, Roberto Buontempo, who delivered an informative introductory speech.

The proceedings were a great success and there was a very active participation from the many members present.

Discussions on important aspects related to the Lieutenancy’s work in the Holy Land took place. As well as about our finances, the restoration of Ta’ Doni Church and the upcoming pilgrimage to Jerusalém.

Members of the Council presented valuable insights and updates on these topics.

The meeting was followed with a formal lunch, where those present could mix and socialise in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere.

Sincere thanks to all who attended and contributed to the success of the AGM.

Lenten Retreat at Senglea

Members and Postulants from our Lieutenancy attended a very well organised Lenten Retreat at the Oratory of Christ the Redeemer in Senglea. This was followed by lunch at the Senglea Marina.

The event was organised by the Spirituality Commission, led by Rev Can Dr Kt Nicholas Doublet, who together with the Archpriest of the Senglea Basilica, Rev Kt Robin Camilleri, made it possible to have a truly memorable experience.

The excellent Lenten reflection and Mass that followed were presided by Mons Kt Comm Paul Carmel Vella, Rector of St John’s Co-Cathedral.
