Courtesy visit to the Bishop of Gozo Mons Anthony Teuma

A representation from the Council led by Lieutenant Roberto Buontempo, paid a courtesy visit to the Bishop of Gozo Mons Anthony Teuma at the Bishop’s Curia in Victoria, Gozo.The Order’s activities in both the Holy Land and Malta were discussed, as well as how the Order’s presence in Gozo is constantly rising. The Bishop shared his personal Jerusalem experience.Mons Teuma was presented with three publications; The Statute of the Order, the book on Spirituality by the Order’s Cardinal Grand Master Fernando Filoni and the book on Palazzo della Rovere, all of which were recently published by the Grand Magisterium.

He was also presented a print from the original painting of the Santa Maria Ta’ Doni Church, our ecclesiastical seat. The print, number 9 of the 200 copies made was given to commemorate Bishop Teuma’s appointment as the ninth bishop of Gozo.

A delegation of the EOHSJ Malta Council, led by the Lieutenant H.E. Roberto Buontempo, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Dr. George Vella, President of Malta.

Lieutenant Buontempo was accompanied by Knight Grand Officer Ray Cassar, Chancellor, Comm. Raymond Mercieca, Treasurer and Comm. Eucharist Mizzi, Vice Chancellor.

Dr Vella was presented with a donation towards the Malta Community Chest Fund.
