AGM 2024

Knights, Dames, and council members of EOHSJ Malta, alongside Lieutenant Roberto Buontempo, convened for the Annual General Meeting of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem – Lieutenancy of Malta on April 28th, 2024, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in St. Julians.

“You are the harbingers and broadcasters of Easter, of Resurrection”, His Lordship Mgr. Anton Teuma the Bishop of Gozo addressing the Gozitan members of The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre Of Jerusalem.

On Saturday 27th of April 2024, members from the Gozo Delegation of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, met with H.L. Mgr. Anton Teuma, at Manresa House in Victoria. This was the second meeting held between the two sides since the official inauguration last year.

The meeting started with a short moment of prayer, and a Lectio Divina from the Gospel of John by Bishop Teuma.

Following the reading, Mgr. Teuma invited those present to share their thoughts. He concluded by attributing to the members of The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre Of Jerusalem, the status of ‘’harbingers and broadcasters of Easter, of the Resurrection”.

Concluding, our Lieutenant Roberto Buontempo, augured that Bishop Teuma would grace us with his presence for next year’s’ Investiture, the Jubilee year, earmarked to take place in Gozo. Amb. Buontempo thanked the Bishop for his continued support and in return offered his unwavering commitment and support to the Bishop whenever the need arises.

Comm. Euchar Mizzi, Delegate for Gozo, thanked all those present and expressed his profound sorrow, about the situation in the Holy Land. Seeng the success of these meetings, he fraternally appealed to the Bishop to make them more frequent.

Our Lieutenant Roberto Buontempo presented his letters of credence to the President of Hungary

On the 26th of March our Lieutenant Roberto Buontempo presented his letters of credence to the President of Hungary, becoming Malta’s Ambassador to Hungary. The ceremony took place at Sandor Palace in Budapest. Following the ceremony, Ambassador Buontempo paid homage to the heroes of Hungary by laying a wreath at the revered Heroes Square. During his stay in Budapest, he held a series of high level meetings with various officials, fostering strong ties between our nations.

Incidentally it was also his birthday on the same day ! We wish our Lieutenant continued success!
