The Gozo Delegation – Annual New Year Greetings

The Gozo Delegation hosted the annual New Year Greetings at the Augustinian Sisters in Għajnsielem for the third consecutive year. The event began with a solemn Mass officiated by the Prior, Mons. John Muscat.

The gathering was honoured by the presence of the Lieutenant, Amb. Roberto Buontempo, and the Chancellor, Comm. Chris Busuttil Delbridge, accompanied by their spouses. This special occasion was held upon the kind invitation of the Delegate of Gozo, Comm. Euchar Mizzi.

It was a wonderful occasion to come together and mark the beginning of a new year filled with hope and unity.

Eve of the Epiphany

On the 5th of January, our Order, led by Amb. Roberto Buontempo, together with members of our families, postulants, and friends, gathered to mark the eve of the Epiphany with a special celebration steeped in early Christian tradition, presided over by Mons. Chev. Patrick Incorvaja.

The traditional Epiphany markings, + M. C. B. + 2025 +, were inscribed on the door of St. Catherine’s Monastery, serving as a reminder of Christ’s presence and blessings upon us all.

This meaningful rite calls us to begin the new year with the blessings of the Church and the intercession of a saint chosen for us through divine providence. Participants were given blessed water, salt, and chalk to take home, symbolizing protection and sanctity for the year ahead.

Special thanks go to Mother Abbess Michelina Mifsud and the Spirituality Commission for organizing this spiritually enriching event. May we carry these blessings into our homes and lives as a sign of faith and hope for the year ahead.
