Our Order, on the invitation of Rev. Domnic Mangani OFMCap participated in the Solemn Translation with the Holy Cross relic and Vespers during the Feast of the Holy Trinity at the Parish Church of Marsa.

As part of the Symbol Literacy project at SMC Vittoriosa Primary School, representatives from EOHSJ were invited to discuss the role of Knights and Dames in today’s society. Dame Kirby Attard Gilford, and Chev Stefan Azzopardi White, were in attendance. They explained to the young learners of Years 1, 2, and 3, as well as their educators, the values and aims of our Order.

Interest was shown by both adults and children alike regarding the rigorous process of joining EOHSJ. The importance of chivalry, translated into assisting the less fortunate, loyalty, and obedience, was also explored. The session was held at Fort St. Angelo in Vittoriosa.

We are honored to have been invited by the Franciscan Minister Provincial, Rev. Anthony Chircop OFM, and Guardian Ramon Farrugia OFM for a mass in honour of the Custos of the Holy Land, Rev. P. Francesco Patton OFM, during his visit to Malta. The mass was held at the Ta’ Ġieżu Church in Valletta and was celebrated by Rev. Francesco Patton. Following the mass, our Council members were invited to a reception where our Lieutenant, Amb. Roberto Buontempo, presented a generous donation to the Custos to support his important mission in the Holy Land.

On the invitation of Rev. Dr. Knight Nicholas Doublet, Rector of the Jesuit’s Church, Valletta, members and postulants of our Order, led by our Lieutenant Amb. Roberto Buontempo, participated in the commemoration of the feast of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary of Pompeii inside the Oratory of the Onorati annexed to the Jesuit’s Church in Valletta. Mass was celebrated by a newly ordained priest, Rev. Karl Andrew Schembri, assisted by the Rector.

Mgr. Charles J. Scicluna, Archbishop of Malta and Grand Prior of our Lieutenancy, led us in prayer by reciting the traditional supplica before the image of Our Lady of Pompeii.

Members of our Order participated in the Feast of Our Lady of Pompeii at St. Dominic Church. The function was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Aaron Zahra O.P., Prior of St. Dominic’s Convent in Birgu.

A short pilgrimage followed, where we came together in prayer with the Rosary, reflecting on the Mysteries with insights from the writings of Blessed Bartolo Longo.
